Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist in Las Vegas, NV to evaluate residents for speech therapy needs, develop treatment plans, and coordinate with physicians and families. The role includes supervising CFY fellows and students, providing in-services, and ensuring compliant documentation.

The successful candidate will hold a state license, meeting continuing education requirements, and may have experience with Net Health and Point Click Care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Licensed as a Speech Therapist in the state.
• CPR certification, if required by licensure.
• Experience with electronic medical records such as Net Health/Point Click Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and independence.
• Supervise CFY Speech Clinical Fellows and students.
• Communicate with physicians, nurses, residents, and families about progress and discharge plans.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation per facility and payer requirements.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on goals and home programs.
• Participate in care conferences and rehabilitation meetings as needed.
