Job summary

The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) is seeking a Resident Services Specialist to support the FSS & ROSS projects by carrying out RSS department activities, engaging with residents to identify needs, and connecting them with resources.

The role involves interviewing residents, developing case plans, coordinating with service providers, and tracking outcomes to help residents achieve financial self-sufficiency and homeownership opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Service, Criminal Justice, Human Services, or related field; minimum 2 years in a social service setting.
• Valid driver's license and be insurable under the Authority's plan.
• Must complete NAN McKay FSS testing and obtain required certification within one year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Recruit individuals and families for RSS programs to meet department goals.
• Interview residents in person, by phone, or during home visits to assess needs.
• Develop case plans for clients individually, as a family, or in groups.
• Assist residents with financial literacy and homeownership resources.
• Coordinate with welfare groups and service providers to connect residents with services.
• Prepare reports and track resident progress and referrals.
