Job summary

The Housing Authority of the City of Shreveport seeks a Resident Services Director to provide strategic leadership for resident-focused programs, including the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program, homeownership initiatives, financial counseling, and supportive services for formerly homeless individuals and families.

This role collaborates across departments to enhance service coordination for residents in Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8), and Housing Authority-owned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in community development, housing, or social services.
• Experience in case management and staff supervision required.
• Experience with HUD-funded programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across the Resident Services Department and oversee program delivery and performance.
• Ensure compliance with HUD regulations and program requirements and conduct audits as needed.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and manage MOUs and contracts.
• Identify service gaps and develop objectives and performance measures aligned with agency goals.
• Coordinate services across Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher programs and support resident engagement and self-sufficiency.
• Identify funding opportunities and prepare grant applications and community engagement activities.
