Job summary

Hawthorn Senior Living in Bend, OR is seeking a versatile team member to clean resident apartments and common areas, serve meals, and support residents with dietary needs. The role is designed as a universal position, with cross-training in other duties as directed by the supervisor.

You will follow Hawthorn procedures, maintain sanitation standards, and work in a fast-paced environment while delivering courteous service to residents and guests.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to perform housekeeping duties following sanitation standards and guidelines.
• Ability to communicate with residents about apartment care.
• Ability to present meal options to residents and guests.
• General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Demonstrates patient, creative attitude and ability to think outside the box.
• Respect for all individuals and effective English communication.
• Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication including body language, listening, and questions with diverse residents.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident apartments according to Hawthorn guidelines and schedule (vacuuming, spot-cleaning, cleaning ceilings/walls, dusting, bathroom/kitchen cleaning, defrosting fridge, trash removal, linen changes).
• Clean community common areas (vacuuming, mopping, dusting, restrooms, trash removal, windows).
• Serve meals: greet residents, take orders, deliver to kitchen, assist with openings of adaptive equipment, serve beverages and meals, clear tables, set up for next meal, clean beverage center.
• Maintain safety, hygiene, and equipment; follow state regulations for food handling and safety.
