Job summary

National Church Residences is seeking a Service Coordinator to support two senior apartment communities in Richwood, WV. The role emphasizes advocacy, resident problem solving, and coordinating programs and services for residents.

You will engage with community agencies, develop a Resource Directory, and sponsor educational events to enhance health care access and life skills. The position is full-time, 35 hours per week, with a rotating schedule between Edgewood Village and Elk Riverview

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field preferred.
• Two or more years of experience delivering social services to elderly and/or family populations preferred.
• Working knowledge of supportive services and local community resources.
• Demonstrated ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve, and deliver measurable results for residents.

Responsibilities

• Advocates, organizes, problem-solves, and delivers results for residents.
• Coordinates programs and activities for residents.
• Liaisons with community agencies, networks with service providers, negotiates discounts where possible.
• Engages residents to identify needs and makes referrals to community services.
• Develops a Resource Directory listing state/local service providers.
• Sponsors educational events on health care, agency support, life skills and referrals.
• Provides quality customer service and addresses resident concerns.
• Assists residents in accessing community services such as housing, meals, transportation, personal services, and financial assistance.
• Monitors and relays feedback from residents and families.
• Manages relationships internally and externally with strong communication skills.
