Job summary

National Church Residences seeks a Service Coordinator II to support residents at Jefferson Chase (Oak Ridge) and Woodland Valley (West Orange). This full-time role coordinates programs, advocates for residents, and connects seniors with community services and discounts.

You will develop resource directories, sponsor health and life-skills events, and ensure high-quality customer service while addressing resident and family feedback. A social-work background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience delivering social services to elderly and/or family populations preferred.
• Working knowledge of supportive services and local community resources.
• Demonstrated ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve, and deliver measurable results for residents.

Responsibilities

• Advocate, organize, problem-solve, and deliver measurable results for residents.
• Coordinate programs and activities for residents.
• Serve as a liaison to community agencies and network with service providers.
• Identify low-cost providers and negotiate discounts.
• Engage residents to identify needs and refer to agencies as needed.
• Develop a Resource Directory of service providers.
• Sponsor educational events on health care, life skills and referrals.
• Provide quality customer service to residents and assist with basic needs.
• Assist residents in accessing community services such as housekeeping, meals, transportation, personal services, and financial assistance.
• Monitor and relay feedback from residents and families.
• Manage internal and external relationships with strong communication skills.
