Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking an Associate Director, Affordable Housing to lead a portfolio of affordable supportive housing properties and oversee the development and management programs that support our mission.

You will build a high-performing housing management team, ensure resident satisfaction, and drive financial performance across multiple Colorado sites. This exempt, full-time role requires travel and a strong background in housing policy.

Qualifications

• Three years of supervisory experience.
• Five years of multi-site supportive housing management experience.
• Strong knowledge of housing development and property management including HUD, Bond, Tax Credit financing.
• Ability to travel and commit the time to exceed 40 hours per week.
• Administrative self-sufficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train and supervise on-site property management staff for properties in the portfolio.
• Manage properties using site-specific knowledge and best practices in economics, rents, assets, and compliance.
• Oversee budgets, monthly financial statements, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Ensure property assets are maintained and compliant with housing codes and budgets.
• Develop and implement safety plans and emergency procedures.
• Coordinate resident services to improve resident satisfaction.
