Job summary

Home Sweet Home Ministries in Bloomington, IL seeks a Residential Associate to support day-to-day client services through intake processing, resource distribution, and front desk hospitality. You will orient new residents, manage basic supply needs, and ensure safety and compliance with program policies.

The role requires empathy, cultural competency, and a Christ-centered focus, with work hours Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm and a pay rate of $17.00–$17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience in the human services field.
• Trauma-informed principles experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays, weekends, evenings, and possibly overnight hours.
• Ability to demonstrate empathy, cultural competency, and a Christ-centered focus.

Responsibilities

• Process intake paperwork for assistance at point of admission.
• Orient and settle residents into agency residential life.
• Distribute resources (food, toiletries, linens, etc) to residents and meet needs.
• Monitor safety, enforce policies, conduct screenings and eligibility checks.
• Administer drug and alcohol testing when required.
