Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Community Manager in overseeing financial and operational aspects of the community. You will handle file management, reports, customer service, move-ins/outs, and interactions with leasing and eviction processes.

The role emphasizes professional communication and adherence to policies. We offer full-time employment with wage of $27.00–$28.00 per hour along with benefits, paid time off, 401(k) and other

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• 6 months experience in the property management industry required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee file management and run assigned reports.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond courteously to resident requests.
• Collect all monies due and oversee audits, evictions, and move-outs by walking units to evaluate occupancy.
• Coordinate eviction processes with outside legal counsel as needed.
• Finalize move in/out and renewals files and enter data into property management software.
• Oversee resident renter’s insurance procedures.
• Collect deposits and process applications from future residents.
• Ensure model/target apartments are ready for show and maintain a clean workspace.
• Maintain knowledge of lease terms, unit specs, availability, and market conditions; ensure policy understanding.
• Maintain contact with apartment locator services and local businesses for informational material.
• Market outreach and property shopping among surrounding properties.
• Develop and maintain resident retention programs.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.
