Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational facets of the community. The position requires strong written and verbal communication, a professional demeanor, and excellent organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in the property management industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain professional and courteous in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee file management and run assigned reports.
• Utilize customer service and sales techniques and respond to resident requests.
• Collect all monies due and oversee evictions, skips, and move-outs by walking units to check occupancy.
• Communicate with outside counsel during eviction processes.
• Finalize move in/out and renewals files and enter data into property management software.
• Oversee renter’s insurance procedures.
• Collect deposits and process applications from future residents.
• Ensure model/target apartments are ready for show and maintain a clean workspace.
• Maintain knowledge of lease terms, unit specs, availability, market conditions, and policies.
• Maintain contact with apartment locator services and local businesses for information.
• Shop surrounding properties and conduct outreach marketing.
• Develop and maintain resident retention programs.
• Report unusual circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct.
