Job summary

Royal American Management in Houston, TX seeks an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager with leasing, marketing, and resident relations on site. The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to balance administrative tasks with on-site property operations.

You will assist with budget tracking, rent collection, vendor coordination, and enforcement of program rules while delivering excellent customer service to residents and guests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year property management experience preferred.
• Experience in affordable housing, Tax Credit, HUD and/or Rural Development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Community Manager in leasing, marketing, and resident relations.
• Assist with development and execution of marketing campaigns for apartment leasing.
• Maintain rent collection procedures and follow up on delinquent accounts.
• Oversee the security deposit administration and refunds.
• Assist in accounts payable and annual operating budget preparation.
• Inspect apartments for move-in condition and turnover status.
• Maintain property grounds, offices, and amenities.
• Ensure contractors/vendors have Vendor Compliance approval before work.
• Provide excellent customer service and strong communication with residents, vendors, and staff.
