Job summary

Franklin Group in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Resident Ledger Specialist to maintain accurate resident ledgers across the managed portfolio. You will process adjustments, review documentation, and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with Property Operations, Compliance, and Accounts Receivable.

The role requires experience with resident ledgers (Real Page/Yardi) and knowledge of affordable housing programs, ensuring accurate balances and proper documentation.

Qualifications

• 3 years of hands-on experience working with resident ledgers in Real Page and/or Yardi.
• Affordable housing experience is highly desirable.
• Deep working knowledge of resident ledgers, rent rolls, lease charges, security deposits, Housing Choice Voucher payments and adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Process approved resident ledger adjustments, including charges, credits, reversals, corrections, transfers, and other account entries.
• Research and resolve resident ledger discrepancies identified by Property Operations, Compliance, Accounts Receivable, Property Accounting, residents, auditors, or management.
• Review supporting documentation to ensure all ledger adjustments are accurate, properly authorized, and documented prior to posting.
• Correct errors with rent charges, concessions, fees, security deposits, and Housing Choice Voucher activity.
• Coordinate with Compliance and Property Operations to process ledger changes from certifications and voucher adjustments.
