Job summary

The Community Builders, Inc. in Chicago is seeking a Resident Specialist to deliver outstanding resident services, show apartments, process applications, and support maintenance requests. This in-office role requires strong customer service and collaboration with the Community team.

This position emphasizes leasing, move-in readiness, and data entry, with LIHTC/Section 8 knowledge considered a plus and a commitment to five days per week in the office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Customer service experience in Property/Hotel/Retail, Sales 1+ year.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Yardi or similar property management software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls with superior customer service and greet prospective tenants.
• Show apartments and conduct in-person visits per procedures.
• Process applications and pre-qualify prospects.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up for completion.
• Maintain accurate records and assist in lease renewals.
• Support community engagement and tracking of notices.
