Job summary

WILLOUGHBY is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans. You will supervise CFY fellows and students, collaborate with physicians and families, and provide staff training.

Responsibilities include timely documentation, discharge planning, and ensuring safe care environments in compliance with regulations. Licensure and ongoing CE are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology; state licensure required.
• Continuing education requirements must be maintained.
• Proficiency with health record systems (Net Health, Point Click Care).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing.
• Supervise CFY Speech Clinical Fellows and students as applicable.
• Communicate progress and discharge plans with physicians, families, and care staff.
• Provide in-services and training for facility staff.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation per regulations.
• Ensure safe treatment environment with infection control protocols.
• Educate residents and families on goals and home programs.
• Assist with ordering durable medical equipment as needed.
• Participate in QA, performance improvement, and rehab program development.
