WAVERLY HILLS is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (Healthcare) to evaluate and treat patients, communicate with families and health team members, and maintain documentation in medical records. The role includes inservices and training for facility staff.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients within 24 hours of referral, developing treatment plans, supervising CFY/supervised staff, and participating in care conferences while complying with state practice acts and payer requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in SLP with state licensure or eligibility.
• Completion of supervised practicum hours and post-degree experience.
• Passing national SLP exam per state requirements.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours or 1 business day of referral.
• Develop effective treatment plans and obtain physician approval.
• Treat patients per the physician treatment plan.
• Supervise CFY/SLP assistants in direct care and activities.
• Communicate progress with supervisor and health team members.
• Participate in care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.
• Record evaluations and treatment notes per policy and payer rules.
• Instruct families and staff for discharge preparation and training.
• Participate in discharge planning and precept CFY/RFP students.
• Comply with state practice acts and facility procedures.
