Job summary

HURST is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate residents and provide individualized therapy focused on communication and swallowing goals. You will develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans, while collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and families to ensure quality patient care.

The role includes supervising CFYs or students as applicable, maintaining thorough documentation, and participating in team meetings to support rehabilitation program development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology; Masters/Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed Speech Therapist in the state; maintain licensure and CE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing.
• Supervise CFY-SLPs or students as applicable.
• Communicate progress and discharge plans with physicians, nursing staff, residents, and families.
• Complete timely and compliant documentation per regulations and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment and educate residents and families on goals and home programs.
