Job summary

Waverly Hills seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients, develop treatment plans, and document progress. The role includes educating families and staff and supervising CFY Speech Clinical Fellows when applicable.

State licensure and a master's or doctoral degree in SLP are required. Proficiency with Casamba and Point Click Care is preferred. Strong communication and collaboration with the health team are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in SLP.
• Licensed as an SLP by the state in which they provide services.
• If the state does not license SLPs, must have 350 clock hours of supervised practicum, 9 months of supervised full-time SLP services after degree, and must pass a national examination in SLP approved by the HHS Secretary. Proficient in Casamba and Point Click Care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours or 1 business day of physician referral.
• Develop effective treatment plans and obtain approval from referring physician.
• Treat patients per the physician treatment plan.
• Supervise CFY/ Speech Clinical Fellows where applicable.
• Record evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, and recertification documentation.
• Instruct families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training.
