Job summary

PARKVIEW in is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents, communicate with families and the health team, and maintain documentation in medical records.

You will develop and update individualized treatment plans, supervise CFYs or students, and provide ongoing education to staff. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Master's or Doctorate preferred
• Current state license as Speech Therapist
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.
• Provide training for Restorative Aides.
• Supervise CFY Speech Clin Fellows or students
• Communicate progress with physicians, nursing staff, residents and families
• Participate in care conferences and rehab meetings
• Provide in-services for staff on training programs
• Complete timely and compliant documentation
• Maintain safe treatment environment and infection control
• Educate residents and families on goals and home programs
• Recommend durable medical equipment as needed
• Contribute to quality improvement and rehab program development
• Relate positively with residents, families and staff
