Benchmark Senior Living's The Commons in Lincoln is seeking a Line Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents, adhering to federal, state, and local standards and Benchmark policies. Schedule options include Tuesday–Saturday 11a–7p or Sunday–Thursday 10a–6p.

The role requires safe operation of kitchen equipment, teamwork, and delivering high-quality meals with appealing presentation. Requirements include a HS diploma; Culinary Arts degree preferred; 2+ years cooking experience, healthcare

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary Arts degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of cooking experience, health care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets, food allergies and sanitation, as well as related laws to the food service environment.
• Ability to work harmoniously with others.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Standing position for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assures all dietary procedures are followed.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively (meat slicer, mixers, ovens, grills, steamers, dishwasher, warmer cabinets).
• Assists in establishing food production line to ensure meals are prepared on time.
• Represents the community with a positive attitude and pride when interacting with residents and families.
• Prepares and serves nutritious meals with high-quality presentation and flavor for residents.
