Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a compliant, high-standard kitchen environment. You will follow federal, state, and local guidelines and contribute to a positive dining experience.

The role emphasizes food safety, timely meal production, and collaborative work with the Food Services Director to maintain quality service for our residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary Arts training preferred.
• 2 years of dietary experience.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures and related laws.
• Leadership ability to supervise staff.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assures all dietary procedures are followed.
• Operate all kitchen equipment safely and effectively including meat slicer, food processor, mixers, ovens, grills, steamers, dishwasher, dumb waiter, warmer cabinets.
• Establish food production line to ensure meals are prepared on time.
• Represent the community with a positive attitude to residents and families.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals with high-quality presentation.
