Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a cook to prepare delicious, nutritious meals for residents, following federal, state, and local standards and Benchmark policies. The role supports the Food Services Director in delivering quality food service with an energetic presence and reliable hours.

The position requires high school diploma or equivalent, and culinary training is preferred. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Competitive benefits apply.

Responsibilities

• Assures all dietary procedures are followed.
• Must be able to operate all kitchen equipment safely and effectively. Equipment may include a meat slicer, food processor, mixers, ovens, grills, steamers, dishwasher, dumb waiter, warmer cabinets.
• Assists in establishing food production line to ensure meals are prepared on time.
• Represents the community with a positive attitude and pride when interacting with potential residents and families.
• Prepares and serves nutritious meals, ensuring high-quality presentation and flavorful meals for our residents.
