Covenant Living Communities and Services is seeking a Housekeeper to provide campus cleaning and minor maintenance throughout the Illinois Northbrook campus. The role supports residents and staff by meeting housekeeping needs and helping keep facilities in good condition.

The ideal candidate will have housekeeping or general maintenance experience, basic English communication, dependability, and an interest in working with older adults. Weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Some high school education.
• Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written.
• Dependability and common sense, and the ability to organize daily cleaning schedule to finish each day’s assignment.
• An interest in and desire to work with older adults is desired.
• May require availability on weekends.

Responsabilités

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedule and infection control guidelines.
• Complete minor maintenance including light bulbs, plunging toilets and changing batteries as needed.
• Follow the established schedule to perform cleaning tasks inside and outside.
• Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, waxing, vacuuming and buffing as scheduled.
• Assist in cleaning emergency spills and during transfers or discharges.
• Move furniture as needed and assist in resident moves.
• Participate in linen program and bed making in guest rooms or residences as needed.
• Observe and report repairs to facilities or fixtures.
