Job summary

Covenant Living Communities & Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to provide campus cleaning and minor maintenance across the facilities, ensuring spaces are clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and staff. You’ll follow schedules, support with linen programs, help with bed making, and assist in resident moves as needed.

The role emphasizes teamwork with staff, adherence to infection control standards, and dependable daily execution in a compassionate aging-care setting.

Qualifications

• Some high school education.
• Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written, with residents and staff.
• Dependability and common sense, and the ability to organize daily cleaning schedule to finish each day’s assignment.
• An interest in and desire to work with older adults is desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedule and using departmental standards.
• Complete minor maintenance including light bulbs, plunge toilets and change batteries as needed.
• Follow the established schedule, perform cleaning tasks in assigned areas inside and outside.
• Maintain floors: sweeping, mopping, waxing, vacuuming, and more.
• Assist in cleaning emergency spills and deep cleaning during transfers/discharges.
• Move furniture as needed and assist in resident moves at transfer/discharge.
• Participate in campus linen program; distribute, collect, and prepare for pick-up.
• Make beds in guest rooms or residences as needed.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report repairs; observe for facility issues.
• Receive campus supplies and assist with snow and ice salting as needed.
