Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities, part of Balfour Beatty Investments, seeks a Customer Experience Specialist to drive living experiences across our properties in the US. You will engage prospects, applicants and residents to identify the best homes, guide them through the application, leasing, move-in, renewal or move-out processes.

This role emphasizes exceptional service, coordinated showings, and collaboration with property teams to maintain high occupancy and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience; property management or hospitality preferred.
• Strong people management and leadership skills; excellent communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Possession of a valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage and respond to all community inquiries in line with policies.
• Deliver high levels of resident experience and satisfaction through professional interactions.
• Create exceptional living experiences during every resident encounter.
• Attract prospects and respond to inquiries to grow community occupancy.
• Follow up with qualified prospects per policy.
• Renew residents at lease end when required.
• Monitor and manage the prospective resident waitlist per policy.
• Inspect property regularly to identify deficiencies and coordinate repairs.
• Prepare showings, open/close units, and coordinate move-in readiness.
• Assist with Lifeworks events and activities as required.
• Understand lease agreements and community policies to assist residents.
