Job summary

The Community Builders, Inc. (TCB) is seeking a Community Manager to oversee all on-site operations, budgets, and team performance, ensuring high-quality living environments and regulatory compliance.

This role requires five days a week in the office and a strong focus on customer service and community wellbeing. Ideal candidates will have a BA/BS in a related field, 5+ years in residential property management with supervisory experience, and proficiency in Yardi and MS Office.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Residential Property Management or related field required.
• 5+ years in progressive career path in Residential Property Management, Hotel, Hospitality or Retail Management; 2 years in a supervisory role.
• COS, LIHTC, ARM, or CPMC certifications preferred.
• Strong budget and financial management skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory programs, housing laws and guidelines.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with Yardi or similar software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Second language is a plus.
• Understanding of housing and affordable housing policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage operating budgets, billing processes, reports, and all accounting functions; monitor rent collection and nonpayment processes.
• Oversee upkeep of curb appeal, unit inspections, safety, audits, and risk management.
• Provide outstanding customer service to residents; communicate effectively and respond to service requests or violations.
• Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate team members; partner with HR.
• Attend trainings, seminars, and conferences; participate in emergencies as needed.
