Job summary

The Flats at West Village in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a General Manager for dynamic leadership of operations, finance, and customer experience at a student housing property managed by The Scion Group. You will oversee staffing, vendor management, and capital projects to drive occupancy, NOI and resident satisfaction in a fast-paced collegiate environment.

Responsibilities

• Staff development and leadership: attract, hire and train team members; manage scheduling and on-call coverage; elevate employee experience.
• Property administration: manage market conditions, policies, procedures and emergencies; coordinate with Legal on vendor contracts.
• Facilities & capital: ensure safe, clean community; conduct monthly walks; approve capital expenditures within budget.
• Annual turnover process: plan turnover with teams; staff for turnover deadlines; manage budgets and revenue targets; coordinate with departments.
