Job summary

The Community Builders, Inc. is seeking a Resident Specialist in Boston to provide exceptional service to residents, guests and staff at the property site. You will show and lease apartments, assist with moving, and support the Maintenance Manager with a variety of tasks while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Candidates with Section 8 and LIHTC experience are preferred. This in-office role requires five days per week in the office, with in-depth customer service and clerical responsibilities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of customer service experience in property/hotel/retail or sales.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Yardi experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer or return all calls promptly with high level customer service.
• Schedule appointments and conduct in-person visits as needed.
• Listen to resident requests and refer as appropriate.
• Develop relationships with residents to understand needs and aspirations.
• Initiate maintenance service requests and follow up on completion.
• Greet prospective tenants and show the property according to procedures.
• Process rental applications for approval and follow up with applicants.
• Pre-qualify prospects in accordance with housing requirements.
• Conduct service inspections with the Service Management team.
• Coordinate community engagement activities with residents.
• Manage rental payment process.
• Prepare recertifications and lease renewals, enter data into tracking system.
