Job summary

Excelsior Care Group's Rehabilitation Center of Orlando is seeking a Concierge to welcome Residents and families from admission through discharge. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service in a healthcare setting, coordinating with Admissions and nursing staff, and ensuring comfortable, well-prepared rooms.

The ideal candidate has prior customer service experience, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience required.
• Experience in SNF, rehab center, or ALF preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, professional, and compassionate approach when interacting with Residents, families, and staff.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Dependable and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Admissions to coordinate new admissions and equipment needs.
• Prepare Resident rooms for admissions: pack belongings, ensure terminal cleaning, make beds, verify room equipment.
• Assemble and deliver welcome baskets to new Residents.
• Greet and escort Residents from lobby to rooms, providing a warm first impression.
• Develop positive relationships with Residents and families with excellent service.
• Respond to call bells and notify nursing staff when care is needed.
• Address Resident concerns per the facility grievance process.
• Assist with room transitions from short-term to long-term care.
• Complete Concierge follow-up documentation within 48 hours of admission and before discharge.
• Provide facility tours during off-hours or when Admissions staff are unavailable.
• Submit daily progress reports and communicate trends to leadership.
• Coordinate with laundry to return stored belongings.
