Job summary

Avanath is seeking a Community Manager to oversee a property with a focus on resident satisfaction, financial performance, and team leadership. You will manage budgets, leasing, and operations while maintaining high service standards for residents and staff.

The role emphasizes strong communication, collaboration with senior leaders, and adherence to regulatory guidelines, including LIHTC knowledge. The position is based on-site with opportunities for growth within Avanath.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in the property management industry.
• 2+ years of experience as a community/property manager.
• Proven ability to diffuse and respond to resident concerns, avoiding escalation.
• Proven effective and efficient leadership experience.
• Knowledge of LIHTC and Tax Credit qualifications required.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Capacity to interact effectively with senior executives.
• Ability to work well under time and other constraints.
• Professional presentation and appearance.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet, and email.

Responsibilities

• Resident Relations + Customer Service: Ensure a positive experience for the resident life-cycle from move-in to move-out.
• Fiduciary: Manage budgets, rent rolls, projections, and occupancy goals; prepare monthly reports.
• Staff Leadership: Lead on-site operations, provide feedback and development, ensure scheduling and efficiency.
• Adherence to Property Management Rules, Regulations, and Guidelines: Ensure compliance with laws and internal policies.
