Job summary

Avanath is seeking an experienced Community/Property Manager to lead operations at a residential community in California. The role emphasizes resident satisfaction, financial performance, and staff leadership, with a focus on leveraging LIHTC knowledge where applicable.

You will manage budgets, leasing, and capital projects, coordinate with regional managers, and ensure compliance with applicable housing regulations, delivering exceptional service to residents and partners alike.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in the property management industry.
• 2+ years as a community/property manager.
• Ability to diffuse and respond to resident concerns.
• Proven leadership experience.
• LIHTC and Tax Credit knowledge required.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Capacity to interact effectively with senior executives.
• Ability to work well under time constraints.
• Professional presentation and appearance.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet, and email.

Responsibilities

• Manage resident relations and customer service across the resident life-cycle.
• Ensure budgeting, rent rolls, projections, and occupancy goals are met.
• Oversee on-site operations, vendor relationships, and staffing.
• Ensure compliance with housing laws and company policies.
