Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Resident Engineer to oversee construction management and engineering tasks for Water US projects. You will apply standard techniques to diverse construction/engineering tasks, coordinate with superintendents, project managers, and field staff, and ensure conformity with contract documents throughout the project lifecycle.

The role emphasizes independent judgement, collaboration, and readiness to solve complex problems while advancing Ramboll’s sustainable water initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology.
• Associate’s degree or technical school certification in science, math, architecture, computing, technical drafting or other relevant technical curriculum, and 4+ years of qualifying engineering experience working in the engineering/design field.
• Ability to make decisions affecting the cost and performance of the work.
• Additional certifications such as EIT, PE, municipal/state agency experience are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Analyze engineering concepts of a project using the acquired degree.
• Oversee construction personnel to ensure procedures follow contract documents.
• Ensure mechanical, electrical and structural components meet contract requirements.
• Perform engineering calculations (pump performance, concrete, hydraulics, electrical adequacy).
• Prepare cash flow calculations from critical path schedule and schedule of values for budgeting and tracking progress.
