Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking an Activity Assistant to lead a daily activity program for residents in our Illinois facility. The role requires empathy, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate with staff to meet residents' psychosocial and activity needs.

Must have a high school diploma with at least 1 year in healthcare; bilingual abilities are a plus. IL driver’s license required and reliability essential for daily scheduling and community outings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year experience in healthcare, volunteering or with disabled population.
• Knowledge of Federal and State activity regulations or ability to understand.

Responsibilities

• Lead a therapeutic, person-centered activity program.
• Provide feedback to Activity Director for monitoring goals.
• Follow all Activity Policies and federal/state regulations.
• Maintain resident activity documentation and calendars.
• Assist in resident outings and community involvement.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure activities run on time.
