Job summary

The Alden Network in Bloomingdale, IL is seeking a part-time/shift-based Activity Assistant to support the daily activity calendar under the Activity Director. You will help deliver a therapeutic, person-centered program and ensure activities align with resident preferences, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Key duties include documenting participation, assisting with outings, coordinating with staff, and maintaining calendars and boards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year in healthcare, volunteering, or experience with disabled population.
• Knowledge of Federal/State activity regulations or ability to interpret.
• Must read and write English fluently.
• Valid IL driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide feedback to Activity Director on facility goals and participate as a team.
• Lead a therapeutic, person-centered activity program enhancing residents' quality of life.
• Follow all Activity policies, procedures and state/federal regulations.
• Understand each resident's background to tailor a person-centered activity plan.
• Activities must be daily, respecting residents' schedules, rights, and choices.
• Document assessments, participation and resident needs as directed.
• Maintain calendars/boards and assist with resident outings as needed.
• Schedule adherence; work with staff and volunteers as a team.
