Job summary

Alden Estates of Naperville in Naperville, IL seeks an Activity Aide to support the daily activity calendar and follow the Activity Director's mission, policies, and regulations. You will help create engaging, person-centered activities for residents, coordinating with staff, families, and community programs.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, updating calendars, organizing monthly themes, and assisting in resident outings or outings requiring transport.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school education or equivalent.
• At least 1 year experience in healthcare, volunteering, or with disabled population.
• Knowledge of Federal and State activity regulations and ability to interpret them.
• Ability to read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily activity schedule per the Activity Director. Lead a therapeutic, person-centered activity program.
• Follow Activity Policies, procedures, and Federal/State regulations.
• Understand residents' backgrounds and plan person-centered activities.
• Document and complete required documentation per Activity Director.
• Maintain records such as Daily Participation, Progress notes, Leisure Interest surveys, and Activity Planning sheets.
• Update activity boards with monthly themes and coordinate community involvement.
• Assist in resident outings and transportation as needed.
• Work with staff and volunteers as a team, adhering to the activity calendar.
