Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking an Activity Aide to support daily activity calendars and lead therapeutic, person-centered programs that improve residents' quality of life. You will follow the Activity Director's guidance and ensure compliance with policy, regulation, and documentation standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least 1 year in healthcare or related experience, strong English reading/writing skills, and a valid IL driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school education or equivalent.
• At least 1 year experience in healthcare, volunteering, or with disabled population.
• Knowledge of Federal and State activity regulations and/or ability to interpret.

Responsibilities

• Provide feedback to Activity Director for monitoring goals.
• Lead a therapeutic, person-centered activity program to enhance residents' quality of life.
• Follow all Activity Policies, Procedures, and Federal/State regulations.
• Know each resident's background to create person-centered activity plans.
• Schedule daily activities reflecting residents' rights and choices.
• Update calendars/boards daily and document activities and progress.
• Assist in resident outings and community involvement.
