Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking a Dining Services Associate to support the Dining Services Director in creating a signature dining program for residents. The role emphasizes delivering friendly, responsive service and a memorable dining experience while upholding company values.

The position requires food handler certification, experience in food service, and flexibility for varied shifts and weekends. You will work in a team-oriented kitchen environment focused on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Certification in the Food Handlers Course or equivalent.
• Previous experience in the food service industry.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Willingness and ability to learn new tasks.
• Must be available to work varied shifts and weekends.
• Ability to lift heavy objects; stand and walk short distances; tolerate kitchen heat.
• Must be free of communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents in a safe, sanitary manner.
• Be familiar with HACCP and WHMIS guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment through proper hygiene and cleaning routines.
• Serve meals in a pleasant, respectful manner, mindful of residents' needs.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment; follow cleaning schedules.
• Prepare dining rooms daily: set tables, pour beverages, clear and clean dishes.
• Receive stock and store it according to procedures.
• Follow procedures when mechanical equipment is unavailable (power failure).
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Dining Services Director.
• Other duties as assigned.
