Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking a part-time Dining Services Associate to support the Dining Services Director in delivering a signature dining program for residents. The role emphasizes friendly, responsive service and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.

Applicants should have a Food Handlers Course certification, prior food service experience, and the ability to read/write English. Must be available for varied shifts, including nights and weekends, and able to lift and stand for

Qualifications

• Certification in the Food Handlers Course or equivalent.
• Previous experience in the food service industry.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Willingness and ability to learn new tasks.
• Must be available to work varied shifts and weekends.
• Ability to lift heavy objects; stand and walk short distances throughout the day.
• Must be free of communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents in a safe sanitary manner.
• Be familiar with HACCP and WHMIS.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and practice safe hygiene.
• Serve attractive, nutritious meals in a pleasant, respectful manner.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and cleaning schedules.
• Prepare dining rooms daily: set tables, pour beverages, clear and clean dishes.
• Receive stock and store properly.
• Follow procedures when equipment is unavailable (e.g., power failure).
• Perform other duties as directed by the Dining Services Director.
• Other duties as assigned.
