Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Serv-Safe certified, or willing to complete certification within 60 days of hire.
• Must read, write and perform simple calculations.
• Must be able to stand long periods and lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to approved menus and resident dietary needs.
• Supervise dietary staff in absence of Dining Services Director.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and kitchen.
• Take and record food temperatures three times daily.
• Attend required in-service and staff meetings and follow safety practices.
• Make menu substitutions with approval when items are unavailable.
