Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Serv-Safe certification required within 60 days.
• Basic understanding of food service operations.
• Ability to read, write and do simple calculations.
• Able to learn quickly and apply principles.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present menu items according to recipes.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Supervise dietary staff in absence of Dining Services Director.
• Record food temperatures three times daily.
• Attend in-service and staff meetings.
• Assist in training new dietary employees.
• Handle meal service readiness and inventory.
• Monitor portion sizes to minimize waste.
