Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritionally balanced meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus, ensure quality and presentation, and maintain a clean kitchen while adhering to safety guidelines.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a willingness to complete any required sanitation training. Prior cooking experience and ServSafe/Food Handler certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effective communication with occupants, staff, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep the kitchen clean and organized.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, delivering excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
