Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus, ensure taste, quality, and presentation, and keep the kitchen clean and safe.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, prior cooking or food prep experience, ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Residency within the service area is expected. Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in cooking or food preparation preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Strong communication with residents, staff, and leadership.
• COVID-19 vaccination policy compliance.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep kitchen clean.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent service.
• All other duties as assigned.
