Job summary

EverTrue in Missouri is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to provide medication administration and routine resident care under nursing supervision. You will document in the electronic health record, monitor for side effects, and support residents' daily activities with respect for their dignity.

You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, assist with mealtimes, participate in care plans, and follow HIPAA, safety procedures, and EverTrue policies while maintaining compassionate,

Qualifications

• Current CMT certification in the state of practice.
• High-school diploma or GED.
• CPR certification and first aid training.
• Prior direct care experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and administers medication to residents under the direction of the nursing staff and within the scope of practice for a CMT.
• Observes residents for side effects, interactions and implications of common medicines.
• Provides medical and physical care to meet daily needs.
• Assists residents with personal care while promoting independence.
• Observes changes and reports to nursing staff.
• Participates in the resident’s care/service plan to improve quality of life.
• Assists with mealtimes and feeding as needed.
• Builds meaningful relationships with residents and families.
• Supports resident involvement in daily activities and decision making.
• Assists with therapies and treatments under licensed personnel.
• Respects privacy and HIPAA; communicate only as needed.
• Follows safety procedures and documents vital signs and information.
• May serve as administrator designee in certain circumstances.
