Job summary

EverTrue is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to provide medication administration and supportive care to residents under nursing supervision. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to maintain residents’ independence and dignity, performing routine daily care and documenting health information in the electronic record.

The role requires current CMT certification, a high school diploma or GED, and CPR/First Aid training.

Qualifications

• Current CMT certification in the state of practice.
• High-school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification and first aid training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and administers medication to residents under the direction of the nursing staff and within the scope of practice for a CMT; and documents accordingly.
• Observes residents for side effects, interactions and implications of common medicines.
• Provides medical and physical care to meet daily needs.
• Assists residents with personal care and helps maintain dignity by enabling independence.
• Observes residents and reports changes to nursing staff.
• Participates in resident care/service planning to improve life quality.
• Assists with mealtimes and feeds residents requiring full assistance.
• Creates and maintains relationships with residents and families.
• Supports resident involvement in decisions about daily activities.
• Assists with therapies and treatments under licensed personnel.
• Maintains privacy and HIPAA compliance; knocks before entering.
• Follows safety procedures and reports hazards to Charge Nurse.
• Documents vital signs and health data in the electronic health record.
• Responds to incoming phone calls.
• May serve as administrator designee as needed.
