Job summary

EverTrue is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to administer medications to residents under nursing supervision and to provide daily care in accordance with established procedures. The role emphasizes patient dignity, collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and active participation in care plans.

Responsibilities include observing for drug effects, documenting vital signs, assisting with meals, and ensuring privacy and safety per HIPAA and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current CMT certification in the state of practice.
• High-school diploma or GED.
• If working in Pennsylvania: Successful completion of Personal Care DHS Medication Administration Course.
• CPR certification and first aid training.
• Prior experience with direct care preferred.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and administers medication to residents under the direction of the nursing staff and within the scope of practice for a CMT; documents accordingly.
• Observes residents for side effects, interactions and implications of common medicines.
• Provides medical and physical care to residents to meet daily needs.
• Assists residents during mealtimes and feeds residents that need full assistance.
• Creates and maintains meaningful relationships with residents and families.
• Supports resident involvement in decision making regarding daily activities.
• Assists with therapies and treatments under licensed personnel.
• Follows HIPAA and privacy requirements; documents vital signs and updates records.
• Responds to incoming phone calls; follows safety procedures and reports hazards to Charge Nurse.
