Job summary

Chelsea Retirement Community is accepting applications for a Resident Care Assistant on the overnight shift. You will deliver essential daily care, companionship, and a warm, welcoming environment for residents in Memory Support.

The role requires lifting up to 35 lbs and involves a full-time midnight schedule (10:30pm–7:00am) with weekend/holiday rotation. EMAR experience is preferred; HS diploma is required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to 35 lbs.
Experience in a direct caregiving role preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Support mealtime and hydration for residents.
Assist with mobility, turning, positioning, and safe transfers.
Take and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output.

Shift Premiums: 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm $1.00 | 10:31 pm - 7:00 am $0.75 | Weekend (Fri 10:31 pm - Sun 11:00 pm) $1.00

As a Resident Care Assistant, you'll provide essential daily care, offer companionship, and create a warm, welcoming environment for our residents. If you have a heart for helping others and enjoy building relationships, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities

Provide Hands-On Care - Assist with personal care (ADLS) like bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.

Support Mealtime- Help residents enjoy their meals and stay hydrated for good health.

Keep Things Moving - Support mobility, including turning, positioning, and safe transfers.

Perform Vital Checks - Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output.

Maintain Comfort & Care - Keep rooms tidy, cozy, and well-stocked with essentials.

Provide Responsive Support - Answer call lights quickly and respond with kindness and compassion.

Monitor with Watchful Eyes - Report any changes in conditions to the leadership ASAP.

Demonstrate Respect & Professionalism - Maintain confidentiality while delivering top-notch care.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
