Job summary

BrioHR Pte Ltd is seeking a Resident Care Assistant for a 4pm–10pm shift in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The role supports residents in assisted living and memory care through compassionate personal care and daily activity assistance.

This part-time position includes 21 hours weekly, weekend variation, and a pay rate of $17.51-$19.64 per hour with shift premiums. A full job description will be provided to selected applicants.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous caregiver experience preferred.
• Experience with ADLs preferred.
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Familiar with EMAR system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care – bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting.
• Support mealtime and hydration for residents.
• Assist mobility, turning, positioning and safe transfers.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight and intake/output.
• Keep rooms tidy, cozy, and stocked with essentials.
• Answer call lights promptly with kindness and compassion.
• Report changes in conditions to leadership promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Schedule: Part-time, 21 hours per week | 2nd shift, 4pm - 10pm | Varies Monday - Friday | every other weekend | No scheduling mandation

What You’ll Do:
As a Resident Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in enriching the lives of our residents by providing compassionate personal care, supporting daily activities, and offering essential assistance in our assisted living and memory care areas. Your dedication will help create a safe, warm, and nurturing environment where residents feel valued, supported, and at home.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Hands-On Care – Assist with personal care (ADLS) like bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Support Mealtime– Help residents enjoy their meals and stay hydrated for good health.
• Keep Things Moving – Support mobility, including turning, positioning, and safe transfers.
• Perform Vital Checks – Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output.
• Maintain Comfort & Care – Keep rooms tidy, cozy, and well-stocked with essentials.
• Provide Responsive Support – Answer call lights quickly and respond with kindness and compassion.
• Monitor with Watchful Eyes – Report any changes in conditions to the leadership ASAP.
• Demonstrate Respect & Professionalism – Maintain confidentiality while delivering top-notch care.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous experience in a caregiver role, preferred.
• Experience with ADLs, preferred.
• Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.
• Previous working knowledge of Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR) system, preferred.
