Job summary

Porter Hills Village in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for weekends-only night shifts in our Health Center. This Full-Time role offers a premium schedule and hourly pay between $18.31 and $20.43.

As a CNA, you will assist residents with daily activities, monitor vital signs, and ensure comfort, safety, and dignity. You’ll support mobility, respond to call lights, and collaborate with a caring team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Michigan CNA certification.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in elder care preferred.
• Ability to read, write, understand and follow directions.
• Physical ability to perform lifting, standing, bending, transferring and walking.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct hands-on personal care (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Assist with meals and ensure residents stay hydrated.
• Support mobility and safe transfers; help with turning and positioning.
• Take and record vital signs and monitor intake/output.
• Maintain clean, comfortable, and well-stocked rooms.
• Respond promptly to call lights with care and compassion.
• Notify leadership of changes in residents' conditions.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional behavior.

Description

Schedule: Weekends only night shift! Work 24 hours get paid for 30 | Saturday and Sunday 5:45pm-6:15 am
Shift Premiums: Night (11:00pm - 6:59am) $0.75 | Weekend (Fri 11:00pm - Sun 10:59 pm) $0.50

What You’ll Do: As a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in our skilled nursing community, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive the highest quality care. From assisting with daily activities to providing comfort and companionship, your work will make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Must have a current and valid Michigan Certification for Nursing Assistants (CNA).
• Must be at least 18 year of age or older.
• Experience providing direct care to the elderly, preferred.
• Ability to read, write, understand and carry out directions.
• Ability to perform job related duties which may require lifting, standing, bending, transferring, stooping, stretching, walking, pushing and pulling.
