Job summary

Great Lakes Management Co. in Bloomington, MN is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care and support to residents, both physically and emotionally, in a full-time role.

The position emphasizes teamwork, clear communication with residents and families, and collaboration with the case manager. The role includes assisting with ADLs, supporting independence, and participating in activities and outings.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions in the resident's best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated on the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• Observe clients and report changes in physical and emotional condition to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
