Job summary

Great Lakes Management in Maplewood, MN is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care and support to residents in daily living activities. You will communicate with residents and families, assist in dining, and participate in activities and outings.

The role emphasizes delivering physical and emotional support, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with the nursing team to ensure resident well-being. CNA preferred; excellent care and compassion are essential.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living (preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide, or Certified Nursing Assistant (preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices in the resident's best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated in the individualized service agreement.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
