Job summary

Great Lakes Management Co. in Bloomington, MN, is seeking a part-time Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care and support to residents under the care plan.

You will assist with ADLs, help in dining, and participate in activities, while communicating with residents, families, and the case manager about any changes in condition.

The role includes documenting daily care, supporting emotional needs, and coordinating with nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident life.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living (preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and act in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement.
• Help residents reach and maintain the highest level of independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• Observe clients and report changes in physical and emotional condition to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
